Reports to: President and Founder of Teachers Like Me

Type: Full time, permanent, remote

Primary Function: Developing and maintaining strong relationships with key stakeholders, including public and private organizations, non-profits, and local communities. Leading the planning and execution of fundraising initiatives, including organizing events and strategic campaigns. This includes creating and managing direct mail fundraising appeals, as well as supporting annual donor engagement and prospecting events

  1. Communicate with stakeholders

  2. Create opportunities to engage school leaders

  3. Attend community engagement events

  4. Increase TLM presence in the community

• Monitoring and Directiveness:

  1. Manage fundraising dollars

  2. Track grant applications

  3. Track grants received 

  4. Track grant reports due

  5. Track placement and data of TLM Graduates

​

• Planning Ahead:

  1. Plan four fundraising events a year

  2. Create a budget for fundraising expenses each year

​

• Critical Thinking:

  1. Examine the yearly budget with the CFO

  2. Identify budget lines for grants vs fundraising

  3. Write grants for under $150,000. 

​

• Impact & Influence:

  1. Contact individual donors with “thank yous”

  2. Mail, email donor information

  3. Send pictures and updates to donors

  4. Increase and engage donors

  5. Create annual donor gathering with teachers

  6. Evaluate TLM graduate program for the EOY report

​

Qualifications:

            

• Education: Masters Degree in education or a related field

• Experience: Minimum of five years in community engagement, grant writing, and fundraising

• Skills: Proficient in presentations, communication, and grant writing

• Other: Must work on weekends and be flexible

​
